Enjoy the light

This morning I listened to a beautiful song and suddenly I became inspired…The funny thing is that the words that I thought the artist was singing are totally different from the original words…once I had checked. I thought that I heard her sing the followin
“The day that you stop growing, is the day that you start to die…stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the light…”
And she actually sung:
“The day that you stop running is the day that you arrive…stop chasing shadows just enjoy the ride…”
It probably was not a coincidence that I had “heard” different words as this brought me the two insights for today’s inspirations.

Inspiration no: 1

“The day that you stop growing, is the day that you start to die…”
There are two main powers in nature.
A building power and a destroying power.
Whatever stops to flourish in nature, to grow and develop heads towards destruction.
Of course the destruction process is simply a conversion of energy.
Everything that is destroyed in nature converts to its original energy and from this energy something new grows.
We call it “death” but nature and the energy from which everything is made is eternal, is endless.
Nothing in nature is born or dies; the original energy from which everything is made is a live energy which is creative and eternal.
The Hindus call one of their gods “Shiva” – the god of destruction and creation. Shiva destroys in order to re build.
The good news for us human beings is…
We are also part of this original endless energy and the laws by which this energy works also work on us which is why we are also eternal, each and every one of us, every person who is currently reading this article can smile…
Because he is eternal!
Energy can only change, it cannot be created nor die.
We have always been here and we always will, we are all eternal.
So first of all congratulations on gaining this knowledge… :)
And if we take the law of destruction and creation again from the beginning which I like to call “the law of Shiva” after the Hindu god “Shiva”,
We can relate this to things that have been destroyed in our life, a dream that wasn’t executed or a goal that wasn’t achieved, or something that we once had and no longer is, it only means that this energy will convert to something new, so therefore there is no loss.
If something “collapsed” the same energy is at your disposal and is starting now in the process of rebuilding.
And another thing…
Continue to grow… every day of your life!
As long as you continue to grow you will be part of the universes natural flow, a part of the general growth that occurs at every moment in the universe.
No human being, and I repeat, no human being can say “that’s it, I’ve arrived!”
There is no such thing as “arrived” in nature, it simply doesn’t exist.
All the time there is a new creation, a new growth, all the time a new door opens through which we are able to evolve further.
Look at Bill Clinton; after he was the president of the United States… he could declare “I have arrived!”
But, this dear man occupies himself daily in giving, he visits countries around the world and spreads the messages of giving and that each person has the strength and ability to change the world through… giving.

Bill Gates, the richest man in the history of mankind, could have said “that’s it, I’ve arrived!” however he is much cleverer and much more flowing with the universe to declare such nonsense…
Even now if we were able to direct a camera that would show us what Bill Gates is doing in these exact moments…
We would see that he is busy with new projects and that he is full of enthusiasm towards them…he arrives at work every morning early and works until the early hours.
He is present in creating, in growing; he is in continuous daily growth.
What does not grow…falls apart.
Whichever way we look at it, everything is for the best, this universe is all good.

Inspiration no: 2

Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the light…
Which shadows are you chasing right now? In the last few days? In the last few moments? At this moment…
I have also chased many shadows instead of enjoying the light..
I have chased various goals, when I reached them, I realised I chased shadows.
I didn’t follow my light, my inner light.
I tried to realize other peoples goals, my family’s, other people who I admired…but all these goals were only part of their light, or maybe this is what I thought and not part of my light.
When you chase shadows you lie to yourself sometimes, without even knowing…
I heard of a mother of three children, divorced, who works at three different jobs in order to support her family, she walked into a car dealership and asked to purchase the latest model SUV with all the extras and asked for 100% finance from the company, meaning that she is going to pay them in monthly instalments.
Our friend who is a sales person in this agency said to her “you work in three different jobs, barely see your children, and now you are looking to take on another huge commitment?”
And all this for what? Because she is chasing shadows.
She thinks that this SUV is a “light” but at the moment given the existing information, it is a big “shadow”.
The real light in her life is her children and herself.
Instead of enjoying the light, work a little less and spend more time with the kids, she chases after the shadows of a low self image and she wants to compensate this by an expensive SUV.
So much light is present in our lives; we simply need to stop chasing shadows.
Each and every one of us needs to be like a flower that opens towards the light, where there is no light, the flowers close, they close in shadows.
When we chase shadows and eventually reach them… we discover that our flower is closed, or in worst case scenarios… our flower has wilted.
Check thoroughly, what do you really want? What does the flower that sits in your heart want?
Learn to recognise what are goals that are “shadows” and what are goals that come from the yearning to light…
And our light is always an internal light; we each have the ability to connect to our inner light.
The moment we stop chasing shadows, we discover our own light, and enjoy its beauty…
Stop chasing shadows, JUST ENJOY THE LIGHT.
These are the inspirations I wanted to pass on to you today.
